This map has a lot of custom textures that provides a new feel Quake 4 has been searching for.

Build Time : Over a span of about 3 months! (I made three other maps during this time)

New Model : One New Torch Cage Model

------- Final Release Changes -------------------------------------------------

Switched the shells and the RG ammo.

Made a torch cage model.

Added the cushion material to the beams in the RA room.


------- Release Candidate 2 Changes -------------------------------------------

Fixed the cushion material on the stairs. They no longer act like ramp jumps.

Made the wall rampjumps a little bit easier to use.

It is now easier to get out of the lava pits.

Added support for Team Deathmatch.

Replaced the Napalm Launcher with a second Rocket Launcher (in DM and Tourney modes).

Decreased the ambient sound volume.

Additional performance tweaking.


------- Release Candidate 1 Changes -------------------------------------------

Lightened the map a little and tweaked the lightcount for performance.

Added heightmaps to many of the remaining textures.

Added the cushion material to the floors to prevent falling damage.

Placed ambient sounds around the map.

lots of little detail and visual fixes.

You will no longer teleport if you drop down between the bars in the RA room.

The weapon spawn pads are now round and the subdivisions have been fixed.


------- Beta 02 Changes -------------------------------------------------------

Fixed the jumppad and teleporter triggers.

The torches now cause damage.

Clipped the skybox view hallway and added a little visual geometry.

Added GL ammo.

Retextured the columns in the RG room.

Centered the square columns in the RA and RG room.

Deleted the square vertical columns in the RA room.

Fixed the squashed archways.

Shortened the height of the armorshard shelf in the MH room and made it deeper.

Shortened the nook across from the RA.

Placed decals beneath the ammo locations.

Created a new lava texture that is less bright and more lava-like.

Added heightmaps to a couple of the textures.

Lots of visual small visual tweaks.


------- Beta 01 Changes -------------------------------------------------------

The map now has a name!

Textured the entire map.

Added detail to "the hallway". :)

Switched the positions of the LG and the GL.

Made custom jumppads, weapon spawn bases, and teleporters.

Added effects for teleporters and jumppads.

Added an additional teleporter to the RA room.

Added additional lighting.

Probably added a lot of little things that I'm too tired to remember.


------- Alpha 02 Changes ------------------------------------------------------

Upgraded to 1.3!

Scaled the map down a little bit.

The level now has very rudimentary texturing.

Reconfigured the RA room and added a GL.

Added the Napalm Launcher.

Added a YA to the RG room.

Added support posts in the YA room.

Blocked off one exit from the RL room and added a teleporter.

Placed some additional pickups.


------- Texture Copyright -----------------------------------------------------

The sky texture was created by Hipshot.

The torch effect was created by Quaker-X


The aztech texture set was created by Tom Perryman (phantazm11) and may be used
for non-commercial use only as long as you include my name and email address in
a readme file included with the map they are used in.

They were created entirely from scratch using Photoshop and the Nvidia
normal map plugin.

This texture set will be offered soon as a stand alone release under the creative
commons license.

That is very nice. Looks a lot like the old Quake with a new touch. I can definitely see some of the monsters from the original in this map. Looks real good!
