Q4 In The Dark (v1.6) - File Description  


Description:
Dafama2K7 has returned, and he has not come empty handed...he has brought, for your Quake IV gaming enjoyment, the newest version of his In The Dark mod!

For those of you just tuning in, and are wondering what the Q4 In The Dark mod will do for you, and your gaming experience...it simply changes the game so that the lighting is even less then what it is with the retail version. Things that go bump in the dark, will take on a whole new meaning, as the only source of illumination that will be found in this download will be the flashlight that you carry, or the one mounted on your pistol and shotgun, a few desk lamps, and some swinging, half lit ceiling lights. You'll be amazed at how different Quake IV feels when you install this download!

A word of caution, if you have a fear of the dark, or a dislike for dark games, this mod may not be for you...if the dark don't bother you, and you like a challenge, then start your download now!

This mod makes Quake 4 close all lights in the maps of the singleplayer Retail game.
Attention !...: This mod needs the latest v1.3 or higher patch !

Now you will feel the ACTION and TENSION this game can make !!!
You only have the Gun and MachineGun Flashlight to advance and the light that makes the weapons when you or the Stroggs fires them...

Note...: Not all lights are OFF, I am leaved a small amount of moveable Swinging_lights !!!

Warning !...: This mod is NOT for the users that hate DARKNESS, the porposse of this Mod is to make Quake 4 much more Dark than already is, but making the only lights the Mounted FlasLights on the Weapons !!!


Updates...:

v1.0 - First releasse.

v1.1 - Bug fixes and New Dynamic lights for weapons !


v1.2 - Enabled weapon_Gauntlet and weapon_NapalmGun to be used in ANY SinglePlayer map !

v1.6 - All lights ON for lights that uses Textures only, NO FALSE lights, now !!!

And be sure i want to improve on Q4 mods, i am learning many new things that will result in more good mods for Quake IV !!!

This way all will look much better, the only needed thing to do is drop the glprogs folder of Brilliant Highlights NG v1.0 into any other mod folder, like for example this one and overwrite anything if the putter asks.

I understand the idea for this mod isn't clear at all, but no doubt i will better this mod in comming version, it's only that i have a lot of work on my D3 mods, but i will do it.

Hey I don't know what is wrong but it I can't download it. The link works but I cant get it. I get the file but not the files in it. I'm not sure if it's the link or the file or what but I can't get it. I'm going to go try v1.3.
