Quake 4 Material Editor (v2.1) - File Description  


Description:
This tool allows you to easily create simple materials for idtech4 games (doom3, quake4, prey, etqw, etc).

You do not require doom 3 or any thing other than the .tga files required to make your material!

The .net frame work is required and needed for the program to run.

Source code is included. If you can program in vb .net please add to it because the author has reached the limit of his abilities.

You can now browse to your tga file (you don't have to type anything now!)

DOOM 3 MATERIAL EDITOR v 2.1

this program is designed to make making materials easier than it already is

(ever though its pretty easy)

put the .exe where ever you like

it is work in progress

but its pretty much finished

HOW TO USE

1. open the program

2. goto material>create material

3. type in the textbox the path to your diffusemap just as you would in a normal material

4. then check the bump map & specular map check boxes

5. press generate material

6. post on doom3 world!



ive included the visual basic source code
so if you can program in visual basic please add to it

im not a very good programmer so theres probly a much better way it could work


IF you make any changes please add your name to the about box
and put it on the net
