Portal Creation Tutorial By Christopher Beloch

In Quake 4 there are the portals, which let likewise teleportieren the ammunition interact this time also with rockets and other weapons and to the destination beside the Jumppads also still.

As one such a portal builds would like I you now with this Tutorial to show.
I provided an area for this Tutorial simply and divided him with a wall into 2 parts.
I will explain only one portal

As the first we insert the portal Model into the map.

The Model finds it under cousin - > models - > mapobjects - > more multiplayer - > teleporter.lwo
Into the center of the portal comes portal-EFF-hit a corner.
In addition you provide func_fx
The Entity must give her following keys and VALUES:

(keys|VALUE)
fx|effects/mp/portal.fx
start_on|1
loop|1



Into the portal comes a Brush, which into a trigger_multiple is converted
The Entity must give her still following keys and VALUES:

anyTouch|1
more projectile_trigger|1



To the destination comes info_player_teleport .
The adjustment of the arrow indicates, in which direction of the Player toward the Teleport looks.
Now escape (Esc) press around everything to deselektieren.
Now the trigger_multiple mark and then only info_player_teleort . Now Strg + K press and the Entitys are connected.
he portal functioned, with my split area I inserted 2 portals and look in such a way:
