  Multiplayer def file

As in Doom 3 one needs def files again for the Multiplayer map specially, so that they are to be found in the MP list.

Here I explain you, how can provide it this def files.

Simply the Windows editor start and then can it loose-go.

The following must now enter you:

mapDef < map file > {
"name" "< name >"
"DM" "1"
"team DM" "1"
"Tourney" "1"
"CTF" "0"
"arena CTF" "0"
"load image" "< path >"
"mp_thumb" "< path >"
}

Explanation

< map file > stands for the path and name of the map file.
If thus your map in maps/mymap/testmap.map stored it, must you in place of < map file > mymap/testmap enter, thus without map and without maps/before it, because the maps file is standard file for maps smile

With < name > the name the map must purely, as it is to be located later in the list.
If "my first map" is registered there, this is located also in such a way in the level list.

With DM, team DM, Tourney, CTF and arena CTF lines must you only ones and zeros set, 0 for "no" and 1 for "". Thereby you specify in which Modis should be playable the map.
With my example the map would not be indicated in the 2 CTF.

And now is added somewhat, which would have made the thing simpler with Doom 3:
The load screen:

With load image the path comes to a TGA file, if their of you stored TGA as follows: maps/mymap/testmap.tga then must you in the quotation marks with < path > maps/mymap/testmap enter.
Thus again without file dung.
This time is the place, where you store the picture all the same.
The picture has 4 maps a dissolution of 512*512 pixel with the Quake.

The same makes it with mp_thumb.
The picture is set as the small Thumbnail, which one sees, if one selects the map in the list.
I estimate the mass times so also 128*128 pixel to perhaps 256*256, could not unfortunately not gentleman-out-find, which size used Raven for it.
